The first race of the Striders Fell Championship opened with the Tigger Tor race run by Totley AC, it is also the first of the 5 race series they run https://www.totleyac.org.uk/race-series/

The race is about 8.8 miles however with no fixed route between the 11 checkpoints you could elect to run slightly further for less congestion and faster paths or follow everyone else. The course is now all off road since the move from the Rugby Club up to the Norfolk Arms and is an interesting mix of rocky and boggy paths as well as sections across the heather.

The weather was good this year, you can get tough winter weather with this being a January race.

There were eight Striders taking part including Ben Heller who managed to finish 20 seconds ahead of his son, Yared, not bad for someone in the M60 category.

There were 255 finishers

First Male Finisher was Cynog Williams in 1:00:29

First Female Finisher was Rachel Chambers in 1:13:29
