Organised by Danum Harriers, held at Doncaster Cycle Hub this is another 5k that takes place on a cycle track. Flat, fast and under the lights it attracts a good standard of competitor. Just a couple of seconds short of running sub seventeen for the first time, Brendon gave it everything and has vowed to finish the job next time. Still, improving your pb by nearly a minute has got to make for a successful evening’s work.
Brendon emptied the tank on the last lap and was running something in the region of 52.8/400m pace over the final 250m but why couldn’t they make the track exactly one kilometre long when it was built?
