Hillsborough 6 Hour Runathon Race Report and Results

By: Chris Smith.

Race Date: 19th January, 2025.

56 runners joined us for a thrilling 6-hour runathon covering 1mile laps around the stunning Hillsborough Park, doing as many as needed, wanted, or possible on Sunday, 19th January!

Embracing the brisk chill of the morning, as we came together for an incredible cause: raising funds for the Mind charity, supporting mental health awareness and services (which Cara and myself are passionate about).

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a beginner, this event offered a fantastic opportunity to challenge yourself physically while making a positive impact, transforming those chilly morning vibes into warmth for those in need.

Every step we took was a step towards better mental health support for everyone, with friends, family, and fellow runners joining us in this effort! Together, we made a difference. With runners achieving 5ks, 10ks and some 50k runs, wow.

The race was won by: Luke Simmons (of no identified club) with 40 miles, and Suzie Braddock (Steel City Striders) with 15 miles.
