Race Date: Saturday 17th May 2025

Steel City aren’t declared for Track and Field so (apart  from the occasional open meeting) those wanting to race competitively on the track have to look elsewhere. Last Saturday saw Seth Kirby (City of Sheffield and Dearne AC) and Yasmine Chaffer (Hallamshire Harriers Sheffield) turning out for their respective second claim clubs in the Northern League. All legal and above board.

The Eco Power Stadium, Doncaster saw Seth score maximum points in the 5000m with 16:52.2 whilst also running second leg in the 400m. Link to results Northern League, East Premier Match 1, Doncaster

At Herringthorpe, Rotherham, Yasmine Chaffer finished as second B string in the 1500m with 5:27.5 and later helped the baton get safely around the track with a leg of the 4x100m. Link to results Northern League, East South Div 1, Match 1, Rotherham.
