Linacre Infini Trail Race – race report by Hannah Wright

Linacre Infini Trail Race (First light Adventure)

Date: 8/11/25

6 hour time limit

On a beautiful autumn morning I headed out for timed trail endurance event at Linacre. Linacre has 3 reservoirs which set in a beautiful wooded valley.

Due to the one of the bridges being repaired there was slight change in route.

This year First Light Adventures linked up with Ashgate Hospice to help raise much needed funds to support their amazing work. They donated the entirety of proceeds to the Hospice.

Combined with all registrations, volunteers who baked goodies, Severn Trent Water who waived their fee and SiEntries who also waived their fee, the event raised £2123 to help support the vital work of Ashgate Hospice.

73 people started and racked up a total of 2,560km in 6 hours.

This was a wonderful, challenging low key event which raised much needed funds for Ashgate Hospice.

The premise of this race is simple, how many laps can you do in 6 hours, each lap being 4.6km around the Linacre reservoirs

There were 73 runners in total, furthest man was Mark Dobbs doing 13 laps in 5:52:03, furthest lady was Beth Elliot doing 11 laps in 5:36:04
