Race Report by Hannah Wright
On a hot summers Saturday morning I headed to Hardwick Hall for Rasselbock 6 hour looped hobble. Each loop was 6.03km of undulation and trail.
As a first timer to Rasselbock races I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was a low key event and everyone was friendly, encouraging and supportive. There was enough loos available including ladies only.
After each loop the QR code on your bib is scanned. It is up to you when and if you head out for another loop. Once you have completed the loops you want in the 6 hours you ring the bell and receive your medal.
There are snacks, fluids and cakes available after each loop. The event is cupless so bring your own. The selection was great and well labelled for anyone with allergies and intolerances.
I was aiming for 7 loops but due to fall at Wentworth a few nights before I only managed 5.
The first male finisher was Raj Sangha covering 60.3km in 05:57:02. The first female finisher was Nola Calladine who completed 54.27km in 05:27:29.
