Race Date: Saturday 8th March 2025

The Spring Canal Canter Half Marathon is part of another weekend event hosted by Its Grim Up North Running with multiple distances to chose from (5k, 10k, 10 miler, Half Marathon, 20 miler, Marathon and an Ultra). Runners trail along the Leeds to Liverpool Canal (Kirkstall). It’s an out and back route which is entirely flat route, making it perfect for beginners who want to take in the beautiful lakeside sights, but also for those seeking a new PB.

The half was won by Dominic Oddy of Roundhay Runners in 01:20:07. The first female finisher was Rebecca Smith of Richmond and Zetland Harriers in 01:47:34. We had one Strider in attendance, taking part in the Half Marathon. Here is Julia’s result:
