Race Distance: Half Marathon

The race was held at Holme Pierrepont County Park and consisted of a short out and back then 4 laps around the rowing course, for the half marathon. There was also a 10k and a 5k on offer for those looking for a shorter distance. 

There was plenty of pay and display parking close to the start. The route is flat and certified accurate. On the course the was a water station and music.  

Despite being flat I found pacing the course difficult. I was hoping there would be a 2:30 pacer as there was for the quicker times, but there wasn’t. I soon lost my mojo. 

The race was won by Lenny Shail of Coventry Godiva Harriers in 01:10:19. The first female finisher was Sarah Johnson, unaffiliated, in 01:11:28.
