A multi distance event from It’s Grim Up North Running, offering a 5k, 10k, 10 mile, Half Marathon, 20 mile, Marathon and Ultra. This results page concerns the 10k and the Ultra.
An early season set of races along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal in Saltaire, Shipley, West Yorkshire. Being on the towpath it’s billed as flat and fast, and all routes are out and back. Aid stations with drinks & snacks are provided every 3 miles (but it’s cupless so take your own soft cup or bottle). I’m guessing you might get pie & pickle at the end – it doesn’t say!
David Hewitt was the lone Strider among 129 finishers at the 10k. The men’s race was won by Phil Manley (unaffiliated) in a time of 00:38:58. Emily Clayton (also unaffiliated) won the women’s race in a time of 00:52:44. Well done to David who finished first in category.

Julia Neri was the lone Strider among 6 finishers at the Ultra. The women’s race was won by Jessica Wareing of Stadium Runners in a time of 4:02:24. Mark Austin of Run Sandymore won the men’s race in a time of 4:36:20. Well done to Julia who finished first in category and third female.
