The Long Distance Strider Championship

Have you ever wondered how many Striders it would take to circumnavigate the earth (24,902 miles)? This club competition, first started in February 2006, will help answer the question. In a nutshell the winners of the Long Distance Strider competition are the Striders who clock up the most race miles in the year. Race times will have no bearing and so there will be no age categories, just men and women.

There are only 2 rules: one, that the race must take place between 1st January and 31st December; two, it has to be some sort of race that can be verified (although parkruns have been excluded as they are a timed run, not a race!).

Matt Barton is the statto for this competition so if one of your races is missing then you can contact him to get your results added. The table will be update on 1st of every month and Matt will also do a monthly news post to keep you all up to date.
