New Year’s Eve Training Run
31st December, 9.00am

The Annual New Years Eve Run starts from Fairholmes Visitor Centre at 9.00am on 31st December. The run is an 11 mile loop of Derwent and Howden Reservoirs in an anti-clockwise direction – a mixture of good surface trail and tarmac; road shoes are fine for the terrain. (Points 1 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 on map). It will take a steady 2+ hours and we run as one group. Depending on the weather it can be fairly cold and exposed in places, so bring warm gear and a change of dry clothes for our tea, bacon butties (and a little something to take the chill off) afterwards at the Visitors Centre. There are toilets at the Centre.

Meet 8.45am at the car park about 150yds before the Visitors Centre. It is on the right hand side of the hill just before you drop down to the Centre. In previous years this car park has been free of charge, however bring change just in case. We usually have a large group for the run, so car share if possible.
