Results Round Up – May 13th-18th

This past week has been a very busy time for Striders. With races on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Wednesday night was the annual Maltby Memorial Race, Friday night was the Dronfield Town 10k, organised by the Dronfield Town FC. Saturday was the Derwent Dambuster 10 miler and Sunday there was a few races with the biggest being the Leeds Half Marathon. Plus as always Striders represented the club at various Parkruns on Saturday.

Tuesday May 13th – Wombwell 10k
We already reported on the Festival of Miles and Burbage Skyline but there was also a 10k on Tuesday night.Where David Hewitt represented the club

Paul Stuart & James Fletcher did the local memorial race over in Maltby an interesting multi terrain race.

Friday May 16th – Dronfield Town 10k
Paul Stuart was again in action with 3 other Striders with some great results for the club, mainly Mike O’Grady who came 2nd overall. Sorry if we missed you off results, here are results let us know if you raced.

Saturday May 17th – Parkruns
We had 7 runners at Hallam parkrun, 2 at Concord, 4 at Graves, 1 at Gladstone, 1 at Cheltenham, 6 at Rother Valley, 3 at Hillsborough were Andrew Davis was 1st Finisher and 1 at both Castle and Pendle, for full list of finishes from our club visit the Parkrun site.

Sunday May 18th – Leeds Half Marathon
The biggest race at weekend for Striders was the Leeds Half Marathon with David Hewitt and Jonathan Law representing the club

Sunday May 18th – Holymoorside 10k
Two runners represented the club in a very hilly 10k, first half is up hill, the second is down.

Richard Pegg was once again on the road, this time running a 10 miler on his way to Carrow Road.
