Club Committee

The club committee oversees the finances and governance of the club. They coordinate the events, training, communications and competitions.

Committee meetings and Annual General Meeting

Club committee meetings are held approximately once a month throughout the year. They usually take place on a Tuesday, 7:00pm – 9:00pm, at Norton Oakes Cricket Club. All club members are welcome. If you wish to attend please email the club secretary, Norma Parkes, (via the contact form) in advance if possible as space and time is limited.

Upcoming committee meetings:

Tuesday 9 February 2021 (virtual meeting due to Covid-19 situation)

At the AGM the committee present the annual report and club accounts and debate any motions. Details of the AGM are sent to members, along with nomination forms and minutes around a month before the meeting. The meeting is followed by prize giving and a buffet and drinks.

The AGM used to be held at the end of March. From 2016 onwards, the AGM was moved and held in January to allow motions passed to be in place for the start of the new Striders year (1 Feb).

The next AGM is scheduled for:

Thursday 21 January 2021 – Due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the 2021 AGM will be a virtual event. Members will be sent instructions on how to register and participate in late 2020.

Call for a new Chair: Andy Buck is standing down as Chair in 2021.  Further to the club communications in autumn 2020, if any first claim member wishes to stand as Chair they should email the club secretary, Norma Parkes, (via the contact form) by 15 Jan 2021.
