How do you successfully get over 1660 people running around the same tight course within a few hours of each other? We don’t know, but Kandoo Events seem to pull this trick off every year now. And how we applaud them for creating arguably the social running event of the year. Nothing beats kicking back after the event with a beer in great Striders company.

So what’s the crack? Well its like a 14.8 mile interval session. You run, walk, run, walk around the Round Sheffield Walk course until end up back at Endcliffe Park.

You run approx 11 miles total during the 11 ‘stages’ and walk around 4 miles between the finish of one stage and start of the next.  With only your time during the run stages counting towards your overall time.  Although beware, there are set ‘rest’ limits between stages ranging from 4 mins to 15 mins that must be adhered to.  Sounds complicating, but it isn’t.

Whilst its about fun for many, its also about racing and the club did really well again this year.
