Hallam Chase Result

The Hallam Chase is described as the oldest continuously run fell race in the world. The Sheffield race is open to male and female runners from South Yorkshire running clubs under a handicap system. Tortoises off first, whippets last, with the aim to all finish together. The course is about 3.25 miles long with 800 feet of climb. An out and back from the cricket ground in Crosspool to the church gate at Stannington.

To enter the race you need to provide a recent 5k or 10k time that reflects your current running fitness. These times are used by the race organisers, the Hallamshire Harriers, to give runners a start time. The 2014 event was a success for Team Strider with our Steel City runners finishing in first and second place!

There were 50 male finishers and 19 female finishers. The full results are on the Hallam Chase website.
