While the majority of eyes from the club have been focused on the very popular parkrun cup. 4 hardly souls decided to get in a big fell race early on and entered the Trigger Fell Race. Runners had to navigate their way from Marsden over Black Hill, Bleaklow and Kinder to Edale visiting three trigs points on route. The linear route is measured at 20 miles with 4500 feet climb. This year was about 38.5km (24 miles), partly as a result of a route change to keep us away from restoration work on Kinder, and partly because the advertised distance is for a straight line route (thanks to Mr.Buck for the info).
This years winner was Neil Northrop of Dark Peak in 3:36:6. The first Strider home was Simon Bayliss in 4:49:53 in 66th place, full results can be found on marsdentoedale.co.uk As always Mossie Net was on hands to get some cracking photos, you can see them on their Flickr album.
