The Falesia 5k is organised by West Cheshire AC for the benefit of the various training groups taking advantage of the Algarve climate at this time of year. Despite having only 103 finishers it has a strong field being won in 15 minutes 15 seconds.

First past the post was Tom Thurleyos of SV 1881 in 15:15 and the first lady home was Kristiina Verevmagi of Tappsportlased in 19:22.

Two Striders used it to insert some quality into their high mileage marathon programmes, both finishing second in their respective age groups on a testing three lap course.
