Race Date 6th March 2016.

The Windmill 6 – 6 miles of undulating hills but with spectacular views of Huddersfield, Wakefield, Penistone and other surrounding areas.

While many Striders were taking on the Norton 9, Gareth Hague took on the snowy roads of the Windmill 6 – the first race of a 5 race series, with only 71 runners (race HQ – being out of the boot of a car, and parking within 5 yards of the start line). Race finishers getting a Mars Bar, Sweets, T Shirt, and an advertisement for tax advice from Gibson Booth (the race sponsors)!

The race was won by Paul Dodds in a time of 36:58 and the first female home was Fiona Davis(second overall) in 37:33.

Gareth finished in a very creditable 8th place, good running the day after his hard Park run semi final.
