Stanage Stumble result

Race Date: Sunday 13th May 2018

“Are you tough enough?” is the question asked by the Stanage Stumble, an event where participants run or walk either 12, 17 or 23 miles within a 10 hour time limit. This popular fundraising event takes in the beautiful Limb Valley, Fox House and Stanage Edge, before returning over Redmires Moor back to the Limb Valley.

The winning times for the 3 distances were:

12 mile: 1:39 – our very own Sam Ainscough. Well done Sam

17 mile: 2:45

23 mile: 3:46

The Stanage Stumble  is organised by and raises money for the family support charity Home-Start South Yorkshire, and has been running for 20 years. This year’s Stumble was noteworthy for being the last event to be organised by long-standing event organiser David. The race organisers made the following statement:

“Finally we say a sad goodbye and thank you to David who supported us till the end today, his last Stumble. He created the Stumble event 20 years ago and has seen it through all its changes to the fantastic event it has become! We will be eternally grateful for the work you’ve put in over the years and and you will be missed. We do hope to bring the Stumble back for 2019 so please watch this space!”
