Race date: Sunday, 6 October 2019

Hopton is near Mirfield. It’s one of those places that barely exists but still splits itself into upper and lower. Its 10k race takes place on a mix of quiet roads and trail, and proceeds go to the local primary school. 273 runners completed the course this year, led by Mark Holden of Dewsbury Road Runners (39:06). First woman, and 17th overall, was April Caulfield of Halifax Harriers & AC in 47:39. The only Strider to brave the trip to West Yorkshire was Clive Downing.
