Trunce 9 is typically the fancy dress edition of the championship – although those chasing an age-grade championship title tend to go dressed as runners. Sadly, I only managed to place 2nd in the MV50 championship, with Charlie Narozanska also placing 2nd in the VF competition (although she was mistakenly given 3rd place on the night). Much kudos to those that made the effort with the fancy dress – although the sight of Steve Blake in a dress and wig is still keeping me awake at night!
So that wraps up the Trunce for another year, along with pretty much all mid-week racing. I’m going into hibernation now, see you all for Trunce 1, on the 27th March 2023.

Oh, by the way, over £1000 was raised for Mountain Rescue over the 9 races. If you haven’t already donated, you know what to do. You might need them one day.
