Barnsley 10k 2025 Race Results

Race Date: Sunday 29th June 2025

This year saw the return of the Barnsley 10k. It’s described as the flagship race in Barnsley town centre. The race was delivered by the Sport and Physical Activity team at the Barnsley Council as part of their #WhatsYourMove campaign. In an attempt to get more locals to take part in the race, this year entries were increased to 2400, with 2024 seeing 1400 competitors take part. In the end there were a total of 1847 finishers in 2025.

The route is described as undulating starting and finishing at the Glass Works. Runners needn’t worry about traffic on the route, as the race is on fully closed roads. All finishers receive a commemorative event t-shirt and a medal.

The race was won by Luke Edwards in 32:58. The first female finisher was Vicky Shaw, of Barnsley AC, in 40:52.
