10 Striders made the trip to Cleethorpes for the Humber Coastal Half Marathon and 10k. Races started and finish on the central promenade under beautiful blue skies, and runners received a medal and a “seaside doughnut” upon crossing the line.
F70 victory
Six Striders opted for the 10k, with Louise Rowley leading the way home, finishing in just over 51 minutes to claim top place in the F70 category.

Four Striders went for the half marathon event. Avid half marathon runner, Luke Clay was first home for the club in 1.33, just a few minutes outside his best time for the year. David Bownes claimed second place in the M70 category in 2.49.

The 10k was won by Rob Payne from Cleethorpes in 32.19. First female was Sherene Wilshere from City of Hull in 38.22

The Half Marathon was won by William Strangeway from Lincoln Wellington in 1.08.59. First female was Natalie Burns (F40), also from Lincoln Wellington, in 1.23.32.
