Steel City Trail 10 – Parkwoods Springs – result

Race Date: Sunday 15th June 2025

Numbers seem to be slowly on the rise, which is pleasing. We had 77 starters and 75 finishers for June’s edition of the Steel City Trail 10. This race was around the scenic sites of Parkwood Springs. The trails up there are well worth exploring and this race is a great way to do that.

This edition had the male winner being our very own Luke Tipping in 47.14. The female winner was regular, Chloe Potter, of HHRC in 47.25. Well done to all the Striders involved in running and marshaling

Women’s Series Standing After Race 3
We’re at the half way point in the series and the overall standings are taking shape.
With 3 wins from 3 Chloe Potter has a commanding lead at the top of the standings but it’s wide open for the remaining podium spots.
Zanthe WrayRachel Howard, and Alina Mironova have scored well in the 2 races they have competed in. But with your best 4 races to count, strong outings in the remaining races from Harriet Davies and Leigh Gregory could see them fly up the standings.

Men’s Series Standings After Race 3

A good chance to look at the men’s standings half way through the season, and the battle at the front is wide open.
Sam Smith has the lead at the moment, but with only your best 4 scoring races to count, there are some strong contenders lining up behind. Adrien Gallet and Luke Tipping have had strong showings in the 2 races they have each raced, so with strong finishes in 2 out of the remaining 3 races, they can challenge Sam.
Philip Morris, Ryan Sheppeck, and Edward Shattock have each raced only once, but scored very well. They will need strong performances in all 3 of the remaining races, but they are still in contention, as are many others.
Join us on Sunday 17 August for the next race in the series, at Chapeltown.
