A really friendly event and a great run. Advertised at 4 miles, we got more value for our £6 entry fee as it was 4.7 miles with a much talked about bonus hill at the end. As I like hills, it was good for me and meant I could sneak past a couple more people on the run in. Always better to finish uphill than downhill.
The buffet at the end of phenomenal. I would highly recommend this event to anyone. Very well marshalled, well waymarked course. Great event and thanks to Rotherham RC for putting it on.
135 runners for this year’s version with the male race winner being Rob Watkinson of Rotherham Harriers in 29.03 and the female winner being Rebecca Friar of Rotherham RC in 34.04. A good Striders turnout with category wins for Jim Rangeley MV 35 and Darrel Porter MV45.
