Race Date: Sunday 7th September 2025
A 10k trail race between Handsworth and Treeton, east side of Sheffield. The route is off road around the Waverley Lakes and nearby trails and fields. Trail shoes are recommended if the weather is poor, although it looks like they might have got lucky this year judging by the photos.
Four Striders were among 83 runners who lined up for the Waverley Dash. The men’s race was won by Jack Webb (unaffiliated) in a time of 00:36:27. Honor Hamshaw (club unknown) won the women’s race in a time of 00:52:59. Well done to Striders Paddy Treehowes, Lauren Thacker and Fran Marshall on their category results.
